Terms and Conditions of Booking at The Sandpiper Bed and Breakfast Blackpool
PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Booking Terms
Your reservation is made with Peter and Judith Freckelton trading as The Sandpiper Bed and Breakfast Blackpool ("the Sandpiper") and represents a legally binding contract between you and the Sandpiper.
Check-in time: From 3pm. Last check in 9pm
unless otherwise arranged. Rooms may be re-let if no notification of
a check in later than 9pm is given.
Check-out time: 10.00am
All guests are required to register in
writing on arrival. Proof of identity may be required.
We are a private Bed and Breakfast and admission is only granted to those who are paying for their night's accommodation.
Car
parking: Car parking is limited and is allocated to a
selection of rooms. Rooms displayed on the online booking will say
if parking is available with the room. Parking spaces are
available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by
10:00am on the day of departure.
Vehicles must be parked so that they are not obstructing other vehicles or parking spaces. Any vehicles parked without permission or causing an obstruction to other vehicles or parking spaces will be subject to extra charges (A valid credit/debit is required to secure all bookings and we reserve the right make these charges against the card. By entering into this contract you are authorising us to make the above charges to the
card without any additional consent being
required.)The hotel cannot
accept responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles. At busy times you may be required to leave your car
keys with us to maximise space. If you are unwilling to leave
your keys with us please make alternative parking
arrangements.
Deposits: All bookings must be made in advance. All bookings must be paid in
full if using the online booking, or secured with a deposit paid
with a credit or debit card over the phone. Rooms are not secured
until the deposit has been paid. The amount of the deposit will be
equal to the total cost of the first night's accommodation or 25% of
the total value of the booking, whichever is greater. For one night
stays, full payment will be required at the time of booking. If your
stay is due to start within 2 days of booking full payment will be
required at the time of booking. All balances are due on arrival, by
cash or credit/debit card.
Group Bookings: We cater for families and couples only. We do not accept group bookings. This includes groups of more than three couples. Any booking which is not for a family or couple, or appears to be a group booking, or any series of bookings which appear to be related will not be honoured. In this event your credit/debit card will be charged for the full amount of the balance and no refunds will be issued for online bookings. If you are in any doubt, please telephone to clarify your booking.
Stairs: Access to all rooms requires the negotiation of stairs. We have no lift. If you are unable to manage stairs then we regret we are unable to accommodate you.
Electrical equipment: We are not able to provide extension leads for any electrical equipment you bring with you, including any medical aids.
Cancellation: All deposits are non
refundable. For all bookings a minimum of 7 days notice is required
for cancellation or amendment. For cancellations made at least 7
days prior to the start of your stay, no further payment will be due
(for online bookings your payment will be refunded less the cost of
the first night's stay). For any cancellations made within 7 days of
the start of your stay (including no show) full payment will be due
(for online bookings no refunds will be given). At the sole
discretion of the proprietors, Charges MAY be waived (or online
payments refunded) in full or part if we are able to re-let the
cancelled room(s).
We require
a valid credit or debit card to secure bookings and reserve the
right to charge the card as detailed above. By entering into this
contract you are authorising us to make the above charges to the
card without any additional consent being
required.
Special dietary requirements: We regret that we are not able to accommodate anyone with a serious and/or life-threatening nut or food allergy as we cannot guarantee the provenance of every item of food in our kitchen. We are happy to cater for other dietary needs, such as vegetarian diets, but please tell us at the time of booking as we can provide a much more interesting menu with prior notice. (On the subject of allergies, please note there is a resident cat, and two dogs). We are unable to accommodate alternative breakfast times unless agreed at the time of booking.
Single occupancy: Single occupancy of a double/twin room will be charged as two persons.
Damage/Theft: We reserve the right to charge for the replacement, cleaning or repair of any item(s) belonging to the Sandpiper, or the fabric of the Sandpiper itself, damaged either wilfully or because reasonable precautions have not been taken. We reserve the right to charge for the replacement of items that are found to be missing following departure. In these events, your credit/debit card will charged without prior consent being required against invoice(s) that will be provided for the costs incurred.
Behaviour: The Sandpiper reserves the right to remove from the premises any guest who does not comply with these terms and conditions, is deemed to be a risk to health and safety, or whose behaviour the proprietors feel is unacceptable. Where complaints are made by other guests about the behaviour of individuals these will be investigated and if upheld the individuals and associated guests will be be removed from the premises. In such instances no refunds will be given.
Smoking: We are a smoke free premises throughout. The Sandpiper
reserves the right to remove from the premises any guest suspected
of smoking in a no-smoking area. In such instance no refund will be
given. Charges will be made for deep cleaning and nights where
we are unable to relet the room due to the smell.

We are placed right in the heart of South Shore Blackpool. Close to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The Sandcastle Water Park, South Pier and Blackpool's large Sandy Beach.
Waterloo Road shopping area and covered markets are just around the corner. Also local is The Duple social club (which welcomes children) with it's traditional Blackpool bingo and nightly entertainment in the evenings (during the Summer Season) and it is just a 2 minute walk. There are also variou pubs and restaurants within a very short walk from The Sandpiper Bed and Breakfast.
We provide a choice of accommodation, most rooms have modern en-suite's and are tastefully decorated. Each comes with a hospitality tray of tea and coffee, towels, soap and televisions with Freeview.
There are many family offers available in Blackpool through the Summer season for example the Sandcastle Water Park Complex offers 10% off entry prices if tickets are booked online. In addition you will always save money by booking Pleasure Beach wristbands online rather than purchasing them on the door on the day you wish to visit.
Please Note we are a Non-Smoking guest house and no pets are permitted on the premises. We welcome Children and Families. Off street parking is available with certain rooms. Check in time from: 15:00 Check out time by: 10:00
We welcome families and couples.
We pride ourselves on the fact we are a Bed and Breakfast catering for families and couples only so sadly we cannot take groups or Stag or Hen parties. Nor can we allow all adult occupation of family rooms where they are equipped with bunk beds.
