Blackpool Sandcastle Water Park

The Water Park, Sandcastle (as it was formerly known) opened on the 23rd June 1986 and was considered to be a 21st Century Indoor Seaside, and being the biggest of its kind in Europe, was warmly welcomed to Blackpool's attractions.
Now the UK's Largest Indoor Water Park with 18 slides and attractions including the world's longest indoor rollercoaster waterslide - The Masterblaster, Sandcastle Waterpark has brought a new wave of water entertainment to the Blackpool coast.
The Waterpark features over 18 slides and attractions including swimming pools, water slides, wave machine, water chutes, lazy river ,snack bars, burger bars, arcades, swim shop and much much more. So, if you're looking for things to do in Blackpool and fancy a great day make sure you dont miss the Sandcastle Water Park. The Sandcastle caters for families with children of any age and can even organise birthday parties. The Sandcastle Waterpark is opposite the Pleasure Beach on the sea side of the promenade

Slides and Attractions

Sandcastle Waterpark is jam packed full of slides, fun and attractions - with an amazing 18 to choose from there is something to tempt everyone. Each of our attractions is featured here with some photos.

Bongo Bongo

Bongo-Bong is a Burger Shack. Serving a brilliant selection of hot food from burgers to baguettes there is something to tempt all tastes!

Caribbean Storm Treehouse

Caribbean Storm Treehouse Interactive is packed with fun things to do. The adventure play area featuring 25 activities and fun games including cannons and blasters, water jets, and a giant tipping coconut which cascades over 2000 Litres of water over you!

Duelling Dragons

Duelling dragons are a Wet, wild, white knuckle ride to race your friends to the mouths of the dragons. These slides are fast and furious! You've got to be big, brave and perhaps a little barmy to ride these brutes! Who will win, the Serpent or the Barracuda?

Fort Riptide

Fort Riptide is the rock based fort it is located within the Shimmering Shallows and has mini slides and water cannons for little soldiers to enjoy a load of watery fun!

HMS Thundersplash

HMS Thundersplash Ahoy there landlubbers! Our marooned galleon is grounded in the Shimmering Shallows where cannons and water jets offer hours of wet deck fun

Master Blaster

Masterblaster is the World's longest indoor rollercoaster waterslide! It is the ultimate white knuckle rollercoaster waterslide, totalling 250 metres in length. New water injection technology shoots raft riders at high speeds up steep slopes and down great chasms, the monster slide snakes it's way out onto the Promenade before zooming back in again! The Masterblaster is also the World's first uphill water rollercoaster!

Monkey Island

Monkey Island is the abandoned monkey fort! It makes the perfect place for a party! All of our birthday parties are centred here. We can cater for all groups from cheeky chimps to great apes!

Shimmering Sallows

Shimmering Shallows is a sleepy lagoon haven for smaller guests! The Shimmering Shallows are a safe harbour for little mermaids and pint sized pirates of the Caribbean everywhere.

Sidewinder

Sidewinder is the first indoor white-knuckle sidewinder in the World! This near vertical drop thrill ride lets gravity take its course. Riders are tipped off the edge of a steep cliff into a giant U-shaped slide. The raft drop dramatically before seemingly soaring off the far edge! Can you stay on?

Skinny Dippers' Garden Bar

Skinny Dippers' is a garden bar that serves a great selection of subs and savoury spuds. Perfect for recharging the batteries ready for more fun.

Thunderfalls Waterslide

Thunderfalls Waterslide. Check out the dizzy heights of these giant slides - thrills and spills at every turn, dont forget to hang on tight!

Treetops Water Chutes

Treetops Water Chutes. You'll find Treetops Water Chutes nestling in the shadows of the giant Caribbean Storm Treehouse. These gentle undulating slopes are family friendly slides where three people can race to the bottom.

Treetops Trading Post

Treetops Trading Post Fantastic novelties and souvenirs available at pocket money prices, located in the main entrance area. The shop also sells and hires towels and costumes just incase you forgot yours.

Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon. Remembsr to listen out for the Hawaii Five-O theme tune. When you hear it make a dash for the supersized wave pool - high fun at high tide!

Ushi-Cushi River Creek

Ushi-gushi River Creek is a brilliant family favourite! The recently installed lazy river will do the hard work. Just lie back and enjoy the gentle meandering rolling river, but dont fall asleep there are some watery surprises in store along the way!

Aztec Falls and Montazooma

Sandcastle Waterpark will this year welcome a £2.5 million investment in the form of 2 new slides. The Aztec themed slides will be named Montazooma and Aztec Falls.
Aztec Falls is within an Aztec Temple and is a high energy tube slide that starts slowly but quickly drops riders into a steep dark chute before entering an enclosed bowl!
After spinning around in the bowl, riders will gradually slow down and then descend into the corkscrew exit. A waterslide certainly not for the faint hearted!
Montazooma is a mat slide, which allows a single rider to plummet head first down 360 degree loops and thrilling back to back turns. The race is on!
Both slides will launch from the roof of the Waterpark and plummet down outside the building, splashing back into a newly created area, which is currently at the main entrance!! The New slides will be open Summer 2011!
